Daniel Schwartz
Advisory Board Member
Daniel brings to Larix more than 35 years of experience in senior leadership and operating roles including C-suite positions at both private and public companies in the healthcare space. Daniel has led the growth and scaling of organizations across a diversified portfolio of companies in the healthcare arena including senior housing, home care, skilled home healthcare, hospice, and medical adult day care.
Daniel’s specific senior leadership achievements include scaling organizational workflows and systems to support rapid revenue growth, execution of acquisitions, integration of acquired companies, formulating and executing early-state growth strategies, and leading the turnaround of underperforming operations.
Daniel began his career as a manager of a single Sunrise Senior Living community and ultimately led Sunrise operations as Senior Vice President, North American Operations. Daniel led the expansion of operations at Sunrise from a small, regional company to an industry leader with operations in more than 400 communities across the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Daniel was recruited to become the first COO at Addus HealthCare, the largest public company in the home healthcare space. Daniel subsequently held senior operational leadership roles at Almost Family (COO), Abode HealthCare (COO), and Elara Caring (Chief Strategy Officer).
Daniel currently serves as the COO of CareRing, a private equity- backed healthcare services start-up that offers an integrated, home- based care delivery model serving the dually eligible population.
Daniel holds an undergraduate business degree from George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Health Services Management and Leadership program from George Washington University.
Daniel is a native Philadelphian who now enjoys living in suburban Nashville with his wife and two teenage children. Daniel enjoys serving mission-based organizations including supporting the Vision Centre: Leadership Development for Long Term Care, along with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other local charitable organizations.
